Go Kayaking
There are plenty of places to rent a kayak and take it out on the water to explore the lake or other surrounding bodies of water. Castle Rock Bay is a 10 acre section of the Havasu National Wildlife Refuge, and a popular place for family friendly kayaking, with a beach area where kids can made sand and mud castles or play along the bank. Hop on the river from the bay and explore beyond the cove!
Another great kayaking spot is located about half an hour south of Lake Havasu, at Bill Williams River National Wildlife Refuge Area. While you're here to kayak, enjoy a brief hike along the paved path and explore the beautiful area on both land and water.
Lighthouse Scavenger Hunt
Did you know there are 27 lighthouses in Lake Havasu? Explore the city and find as many of them as you can. Your kids will love this exciting scavenger hunt that will take you all around town. Most of the them are replicas of historic lighthouses, with famous west coast lighthouses replicated on the west side of the lake, and east coast lighthouse on the east side of the lake. Visit the Aquatic Center
If you're looking for a way to play in the water that isn't on the lake, visit the Lake Havasu City Aquatic Center. While it's more of a community center than a tourist attraction, anyone is welcome to stop by and enjoy the amenities, including the massive indoor pool and water slide area.
